Avera Care Cards are a quick, convenient way for you to send a loved one or friend a message to let them know you care. E-mails are delivered Monday through Friday to patients currently admitted to the hospital.

Patient Privacy

Under federal law, your patient health information is protected and confidential. Protected patient health information includes information about your symptoms, test results, diagnosis, treatment, and related medical information.

Your Hospital Stay

Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital provides patients and their family members with compassionate, quality care. Our goal is to provide health care services that exceed our customers' expectations.

Visitors

Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital knows friends and family are important to patients and can even speed recovery.

General visiting hours are from 11:00 a.m to 8:30 p.m.

All visitors should exercise courtesy and cleanliness when visiting with patients. If you suspect you may be coming down with something, please refrain from entering patient areas of the hospital. Additionally, if you are susceptible to illness, it may not be a good idea to visit.

Patient information and directions can be obtained from the hospital front desk. You may also call Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital at 605-854-3329 to obtain the room number of a patient, unless the patient has chosen not to have that information released.
