Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center
At the Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center, we’re more than an impressive building filled with advancing technology, sterile labs, and complicated equipment. The plaques and awards hanging on the walls cannot reflect everything you’ll find within. This Cancer Center is filled with the compassion and understanding that can only come from individuals who are devoted to helping people and families deal with the reality of a cancer diagnosis. Behind the friendly faces and encouraging smiles are real people who are willing to reach out to you and your family at this difficult time.
We know cancer is serious and we’re totally serious about treating cancer. Lives may become disrupted, fear often sets in, and answers may not come quickly. We will walk with you through this experience, paying close attention to your needs and helping make the necessary steps as comfortable as possible for you and your loved ones. We want to get to know you.
We are most certainly dedicated to our professional expertise and realize the importance of receiving care in an uplifting environment. And we’re just as determined to help our patients live normal lives as much as possible during the time they’re a part of our Cancer Center family. Yes, some days may be tough, but we’ll be right here with you each step of the way.
We’re pleased that the Cancer Program at Avera Queen of Peace has been recognized by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons and received their Outstanding Achievement Award for providing high quality cancer care to patients and exceeding the CoC Approval Program standards. We work everyday to live up to this prestigious award.
