Treatment for Chronic Pain

The Pain Management Center, located at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, provides treatment to individuals suffering from chronic pain through the efforts of the following Anesthesiologists who are specially trained in pain management:

  • John VanErdewyk, MDA
  • Phillip J. Becker, MDA
  • Shawn Haley, MDA

  • Chronic back and leg pain
  • Neck pain
  • Fibromyalgia pain
  • Cancer pain
  • Shingles/post-herpetic neuralgia
  • RSD
  • Other chronic pain conditions

Common Injections

  • Epidural steroid (neck and back)
  • Sacroiliac Joint
  • Transforaminal and nerve root blocks
  • Trigger Point injections
  • Piriformis injections
  • Trochanteric Bursa
  • Fluoroscopy; x-ray guided blocks
  • Other pain injections

Appointments

Following an evaluation by your physician, you may be referred to the Pain Management Center for further evaluation and/or treatment.
